Hurry up, Summer!!

So Cayden did, in fact, get his cast off 2 weeks ago as scheduled. His latest fracture is completely healed, however he is still very hesitant to get back on his feet. Still not walking on his own...but we will get there...one day! He'll do it in his own time, when he knows he is strong enough and confident enough to do it again. We continue to encourage him every day, and have been using aqua therapy (swimming!!) which Cayden absolutely loves, to help strengthen his entire body.

On another note, I want to say a big THANK YOU to Grandma for coming into town to help us out again while Meme was enjoying her little Florida vacation without us! Grandma is SOOO creative with coming up with fun things to do with Cayden around the house (he was still casted for the majority of the visit, so getting out and about was tough), and he absolutely lights up when he's playing new things with her. This allowed a pregnant, tired Mama to get some sleep during the days after the nights that I worked for the week. We had a lot of fun, and we really appreciate it!!

Here's Cayden playing with a car track Grandma made for him out of Diaper boxes and scrap cardboard!

And a video of Cayden and Grandma playing Monster Trucks
outside on the deck with a cool ramp!

And another exciting piece of news...Cyle's sister Joy and her husband Michael welcomed their monster of a son, Mason, into their lives on April 14th. He's a big boy, and really cute!! We can't wait to meet him! Congrats guys!! xoxo
Other than that, we've just been enjoying the random days of nice weather by spending some time outside - Cayden loves to swing outside, play in the cars at Meme's house, and we even got a zoo membership this year- which Cayden LOVES! Here are a few pictures!

Daddy and Cayden watching birds and squirrels off the deck at Meme and Papa's!

Cool dude just lounging in his shades, enjoying a yummy sucker!

Daddy and Cayden at the Zoo - Cayden is fascinated by all of the animals! And it's great to see Cyle teaching him all he knows about the fishies!

Let's change the subject a bit!

I want to switch things up a bit and talk about something a little more positive!

I'm pregnant?! I know, haven't discussed it much lately (other very important things on my mind!) But today's the day to update!

Time is flying by - I'm 19 weeks along today and had my first ultrasound!! I've been really looking forward to it because this pregnancy has been completely different for me - so I've been anxious to see if we were having a girl this time!? And the verdict is?!.....
Mya Brynn Wilkinson
She will be joining Cyle, Cayden and I in late August. I am completely filled with joy!! I was very nervous going into the office today for the ultrasound because the day we had our first with Cayden was the day we heard of his clubbed feet and other abnormalities in measurements. My nerves were immediately put to rest when Melissa (the tech) place the doppler on my big 'ol belly and the very first image we saw were the bottoms of two very precious little feet. We never saw the bottoms of Cayden's feet in any of his ultrasounds - the way they were clubbed made it impossible. I was elated right away - her feet are beautiful! :-) And I know that another case of club foot would not be terrible, seeing as how we're old pro's at it now, but of course I was hoping to see what I saw today. Cyle and I found ourselves looking at the measurements of all of her bones as they came up on the screen, and were so happy when they were all matching up to our due date. She's going to be perfect. This I know now.
She's a funny girl too - during the half hour ultrasound we observed her waving both hands at us, and even puckering up her little lips. Unfortunately we weren't able to get good 3D images because she's a crazy girl and kept wiggling and hiding her face with her arm. But I got all I needed today :-)

I can't wait to meet her!!
Here I am last week - March 30, 2010. 18 weeks
(about as big as I was at 22 weeks with Cayden! Geesh!)

Then Sarah got in on the action - showing off her big belly! She might be brewing something too!
Side-note: Cayden goes Wednesday for a new set of x-rays! Hopefully we'll be healed enough to get outta that darn cast!! I'll keep you updated!
