Wow...Time Flies!

Alright, I'm well into week 27 now...and it absolutely amazes me how fast this is going! People ask how far along I am, and I tell them only 3 months to go, and I think it surprises me as much as it has been surprising everyone else! People tell me I'm not big enough to be 27 weeks...I'm eating, I swear!!! :-) But honestly, time is flying by. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was taking that test, and giving daddy the good news! And now he's almost here. This is officially the week that starts the third (and final) trimester...and with that comes mixed emotions. I'm so excited to meet my little man (Cyle and I discuss what he might look like all the time!), but I'm also kinda sad that I won't be "housing" him any longer...that I won't be the only one to know when he does funny little things inside anymore! But at that point I will get to share of of those things with everyone else, and other people will get to know him like I feel like I already do - and I'm excited for that too. (And hopefully that will be the end of these back pains for awhile!) All in all, at the end of the day, I find myself very excited and anxious. Anxious to get everything ready for him, and so excited to meet him and get to know him even more.
I'm counting down the days...

More pictures!

Here's a picture of the family (minus Tegan, unfortunately) at dad's surprise party Saturday, April 19th.

Me and my belly propping Sarah up - She's so excited to meet Cayden! She tells me that she is going to share all of her toys with him...I should get that in writing, cause I have a good feeling that that probably won't happen! She's looking forward to "another baby like Molly!" Adorable!

Here's a lovely side view of the belly at 27 weeks...I feel like I've been at a standstill, but the doc says he's growing just fine! He's still kicking like a maniac, and I think he's learned now how to successfully dance on my bladder...So talented, I'm so proud already! :-)

Random thoughts...

So this miracle inside of me is more active than I ever thought possible!! He's absolutely nuts sometimes, and I think to myself 'what the heck could he possibly be so amused by in there that would cause him to feel the need to kick, punch and do flips for hours on end sometimes??' If he's this active in our world, we're going to have our hands full for sure! Daddy says he takes after him, and that means he'll probably be a trouble maker! :-( We'll just have to wait and see!... Anyway, I'm not complaining about his movement at all...it really is an amazing feeling, and a good reminder that he's in there sometimes when I seem to have so much going on that I forget to think about him! So, its nice, and I'll never take that for granted :-)
That's it for now, just a few random thoughts brought on by a swift kick to the ribs! :-)

The nursery...in the works.

So MeMe and I have been working hard on Cayden's nursery, and I'd have to say its coming along GREAT! I absolutely love it, and I know our little monkey will have lots of fun in there!! Here are a few pictures of the work in progress...

Just a word of thanks...

We just want to thank everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers both for us as new parents-to-be, as well as for our little one...we really appreciate it...

Things are looking better at this point, we're staying positive and we'll just wait it out and hope for the best. Cayden will be perfect in our eyes no matter what...

First Ultrasound...

Well, February 25th, I'm 19 weeks and 2 days...So excited to find out what we're having!! People say that it is so fun not to find out, and to just be surprised when the little bugger pops out...but we're not patient enough for that! I want to know, and I want to know NOW :-)
So the verdict is in...It's a BOY!! Our ultrasound tech printed out a picture especially for Daddy, showing just the little man's goods. He's such a proud papa! So it's been a wonderful day so far... He's quite the little gymnast, and has a strong heartbeat :-)
