Hurry up, Summer!!

So Cayden did, in fact, get his cast off 2 weeks ago as scheduled. His latest fracture is completely healed, however he is still very hesitant to get back on his feet. Still not walking on his own...but we will get there...one day! He'll do it in his own time, when he knows he is strong enough and confident enough to do it again. We continue to encourage him every day, and have been using aqua therapy (swimming!!) which Cayden absolutely loves, to help strengthen his entire body.

On another note, I want to say a big THANK YOU to Grandma for coming into town to help us out again while Meme was enjoying her little Florida vacation without us! Grandma is SOOO creative with coming up with fun things to do with Cayden around the house (he was still casted for the majority of the visit, so getting out and about was tough), and he absolutely lights up when he's playing new things with her. This allowed a pregnant, tired Mama to get some sleep during the days after the nights that I worked for the week. We had a lot of fun, and we really appreciate it!!

Here's Cayden playing with a car track Grandma made for him out of Diaper boxes and scrap cardboard!

And a video of Cayden and Grandma playing Monster Trucks
outside on the deck with a cool ramp!

And another exciting piece of news...Cyle's sister Joy and her husband Michael welcomed their monster of a son, Mason, into their lives on April 14th. He's a big boy, and really cute!! We can't wait to meet him! Congrats guys!! xoxo
Other than that, we've just been enjoying the random days of nice weather by spending some time outside - Cayden loves to swing outside, play in the cars at Meme's house, and we even got a zoo membership this year- which Cayden LOVES! Here are a few pictures!

Daddy and Cayden watching birds and squirrels off the deck at Meme and Papa's!

Cool dude just lounging in his shades, enjoying a yummy sucker!

Daddy and Cayden at the Zoo - Cayden is fascinated by all of the animals! And it's great to see Cyle teaching him all he knows about the fishies!

I thank Brenda too!! It was nice to know Cayden was in good hands while I was away! Love the video and the way Cayden looks over his glasses! Daddy has a lot to teach this boy about the outdoors, doesn't he?? What fun for both of them!
